ibus chinese input not work at ternimal

Hi
I moved from ubuntu to lubuntu on my old laptop. Most parts are working well.

but this is Problem with chinese input via ibus.
it is ok if I type chinese at a web browser url or search bar.

not working at command-line at a terminal, or at any editor (gedit or vi
Libraoffice writer or math etc)

after type the key combination (ctrl+space) to enable, the input is still English input

thanks, I will try this later, but I am not very optimistic because my case is that I can't type any chinese at command line or editors (vi, gedit or open office)

Go to Menu - Preferences - Language Support

It may ask you, it did for me, to install language support for other software, for me it was Thunderbird Libre Office etc.

You can install other languages and drag which language you want as default, plus set a language system wide.
