EDIT: I worked around the problem.
Hey there,
I want to use ubuntu on my MacBook Air 4,2. Given the small hard disk, I do not want install ubuntu on the built in drive, but keep using it form a usb drive.
I followed the instructions to create a bootable ubuntu usb drive https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookAir4-2, which works fine.
However, no changes are saved, when I reboot the computer.
I remember that using live ubuntu from usb on PCs I could save changes to the system as well as files on the usb drive. Is that also possible using the mac compatible live usb?
cheers!
