    Nautilus' menu showing up on desktop since update

    When I started up my computer today, there was a bunch of updates to do. After installing them, then restarting X, nautilus is showing it's menu bar on the top of my desktop. (see linked image). It wasn't doing this before and there seems to be no way to remove it!

    I just posted a solution to this in the "Ubuntu bugs and known workarounds" thread. Took me a while to narrow it down, too.

    Thank you! That solved the problem and returned GNOME Classic to normal,

    My thanks as well, kohoutek1.

    One note: after uninstalling the packages just killing and restarting nautilus isn't enough. I had to log out and in again.
