CD failed to open file

On xubuntu 11.10 32bit I have rythmbox installed but get the following message when I try to play a CD:

"Failed to open file - to execute child process (rythmbox client) no such file or directory"

The tracks, eg 1,2, 3 etc are shown but will not play.

NB I have had a similar message stating something about 'child process' on Libre Office writer also

Does anyone know what this means.


Finally managed to play CD. Opened with Parole - Media - CD Rom and clicked on Play audio disc. A bit long winded but I got there!
