backlit keyboard issue

Hi I am running ubuntu 11.04 64 bit on my Toshiba Satellite P750-BT4G22 Laptop. It has a led backlit keyboard which works excellent on windows, but i cannot get it to activate on ubuntu. thanks in advance for any help

my bios is acpi though and won't work with it, and this is for screens not keyboards. thanks though.
