UK: BT Vision customers to have their set top box switched to Linux

    Hello All

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/02...ision_upgrade/

This is the type of market I suppose Canonical may be competing in soon.

Does anyone know how many BT Vision subscribers there are in the UK?

Can anyone explain this article in idiot language (me being the idiot)?

BT Vision is a hybrid IPTV-digital terrestrial television service offered by BT Group in the United Kingdom which was launched in December 2006. As of September 2011 it had an estimated 640,000 subscribers.[1]

    Hello Gremlinzzz

And here's me looking on the BT Web site and finding no information of use.

640 000 is a lot of people to swap over in one go!
