Kubuntu 11.10 now only comes up in a terminal login. Have continued running upgrades but can't get to GUI. Possible Xorg issue, maybe? Tried installing then removed nvivia-173 driver--which I'm using in Ubuntu-Studio on the same tower. Display adapter is an onboard Nvidia GeForce 6100, processor is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+. This happened after rebooting following an upgrade last week but I'm not saying the problem was caused by the upgrade. Any suggestions short of a clean re-install? What additional information might be helpful?
