How to remove old network entries in 'Browse network' window

When opening the 'Browse Network' window under Nautilus, I see a lot of entries which are in fact unaccessible and/or not on my LAN.

They were real at some time in the past (because server were available on a LAN where my laptop was connected once, or because some services were up but are now down).

This is **very** annoying when you use a laptop in a LAN with a lot of share and then come back home on your small LAN with 1/2 share only, since it is very difficult to find them in that bug mess.

I am unable to mount, delete, or do anything to them.

    Why are they there?

Why can I not remove them?

Why the refresh display does not clean all these?

Nothing is able to remove them (I even tried to reboot).

I wonder why you are still seeing them? They are supposed to clear automatically when you log out.

It is possible that the router is keeping them in its cache. Can you reboot the router or clear its cache?

What version of Ubuntu are you using?

Nothing changed when rebooting the router.

I used 11.10 and then switched to 12.04 beta1, upgrading every day until 12.04 came out.

I'm sorry, I am puzzled by this. I don't have the problem. My computer does sometimes remember a network connection, but I've never seen it retained after a reboot.

Are you using the standard built-in network access, or have you installed an alternative method?
