    100% CPU Usage with LXDE

    Greetings
I have an Acer Aspire One ZG5 netbook with Ubuntu 11.10 installed. In a quest for a bit more speed out of the system, I installed LXDE from the Software Center.

Problem starts when I try to run either PCManFM or LXTerminal, either one of these launches the CPU on a blind 100% fury. Using top (with gnome-terminal, which works fine), either of the processes are shown running at 98~100% together with Xorg.

I'm guessing that I'm missing some package that both apps are trying to call to X, but I'm not sure. Also tried using Thunar, with the same results. Nautilus however worked fine.

Any and all help would be aprecciated.

Maybe you should just use Lubuntu, makes lxde look so much better.

Thanks for the tip Rodney9, but I'd rather not format it. I've reached the sweet spot with the install and would just like to get a little more speed out of the system.
