    wifi connect to ubuntu pc

You are using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
    - the Lucid Lynx - released in April 2010

    Hi, i've got a mobile phone - Samsung, GT-S5570 with Android 2.3.5.

I've discovered an Android sync function / app - which allows me to sync my mobile phone with my PC over secured Wifi.

I've installed the app on my phone - But it says I need a "manager" on the PC. - Password number is to be added on both.

I've Googled, but I can't find the programme / instructions on how to set up the Pc side of things.

is there an easy download ?

    Thanks.

Re: wifi connect to ubuntu pc

isn't there an Android Manager for Ubuntu ?

    Ie

    - Connect my Android phone to my Pc via Wi-Fi.

    - allow me to move / rename / add /delete files from/to my android phone - from my PC
    (mainly music / picture files)

I've tried to google it, but the ones I've found for 'Ubuntu" all show Forums etc - saying yes there is one - But they never seem to tell me hpow / where to download it from (or the name of the manager)

the rest, that do say a file-name, are all windows based managers - not ubuntu.

has anyone got a good manager they use ?

If manager on PC is required then use WINE
To setup Ubuntu as FTP server then download vsftpd
    " sudo apt-get install vsftpd "
Configure it and access FTP from ES File Explorer
