How to prevent words in lines in console from breaking up?
Hi. I am using Ubuntu 11.10.
I am learning the C programming language. I use GCC to compile my programs. I am having a tiny problem though. Whenever a line gets wider than the screen size, it breaks up the last word/number.
For example, if a line is "How are you today mate?" it may break like "How are you tod <next line> ay mate?" Same thing happens for numbers when I program to make a large list like a prime number list etc.
The only way I can prevent numbers from breaking up is to stick \n with every printf command. But that looks really ugly with a large part of the screen remaining empty.
I thought this was a C problem and I asked somewhere else and someone said it's the terminal problem. He told me the solution for Windows by changing buffer size or whatever. But how can I fix that for Linux console? Thanks.
