How do I make a program use the Unity UI (specifically the menu bar)?

If I download QT creator through the Ubuntu Software Center, the UI of the program looks the same as all the other programs. That is, the colors follow the same theme, the menu bar appears when you hover the mouse over the gray horizontal bar at the top of the screen, etc.

However, when you download QT creator directly from Nokia's website, it installs without any hiccups, but the menu bar now appears on the window for the program (the way programs traditionally look) and the color will be a light gray.

Is there a way to make programs downloaded outside of the software center look like they are part of the Unity UI by having the same layout?

I can't seem to find any information regarding this.
