    Question Display text rendering problem

I posted a problem with Unity 3D, then another concerning the rendering issue, then thought the problems were resolved and marked the posts solved.

Turns out I still have the rendering problem, though it appears less frequently after all the gyrations this system has been through. I have 2 screenshots from today that I'll attach. In both FF and Evolution the problem only shows on bold text.

Should I supply more information in order to get help resolving this?

Hello, seems to be an old bug that hasn't been fixed according to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ux/+bug/659434

Comment #39's solution to changing your font to verdana seems to be the most helpful comment.

I changed FF Preferences to verdana without any improvement. Incidentally, I opened 3 tabs in FF with this url and got identical results.

Edit: Even the window in FF for setting preferences had corrupted characters!
