backup over the network

hi all,
i have back up script which is working perfectly but im looking for script that can backed up to the central Backup Server over the network


Currently backup destination folder is

# Where to backup to.
dest="/mnt/backup"

but I want to change to other internal server so it should looks like
# Where to backup to.

dest="ip-address-of-server-/mnt/…

any ideas
