    Software Engineering Question about Data Flow Diagrams

    For the attached data flow diagram, I do not understand what the line above and below "sales data" means. Could someone please tell me?

    Any input would be greatly appreciated!

    The items in the solid boxes are process steps. The items between the horizontal lines are data stores.
