Question DV7-6135dx wireless issues (blinking light & no connection after sleep mode)

I have an HP DV7-6135dx laptop with 11.10. It picked up the wireless right after installing without any issues but my wireless button constantly blinks between White (on) and Red (off). I don't have any connection issues unless I shut the lid to teh laptop and put it into sleep mode. When I open it back up it wont be able to reconnect to the network without restarting.

    Thanks

Re: DV7-6135dx wireless issues (blinking light & no connection after sleep mode)

    Hi,

I too am experiencing this on my dv7. I will be looking into it. If you find anything please reply. I'm worried it may burn the modem or the light out. My lan connection is intermittent, it seems to connect and disconnect at about the same frequency the wlan light flashes. I'll post my stats if they are different after my installation finishes.

Re: DV7-6135dx wireless issues (blinking light & no connection after sleep mode)

    Hi,

I still haven't been able to get 12.04 running on my machine, because of the UEFI bios and
some bug with it, but while I was trying the alternate install I noticed there is a Linux driver
for the Intel wlan, I don't know if it stops the flashing or not, but it seems it is required.

search iwlwifi 6150, I hope that helps you out.

I didn't see any refrence to it in what you posted, maybe that will make it work.
