    third party apps

    can any one tell me the best 3rd party apps for ubuntu? i want apps for video editing, photo editing and remote access.

    Have you tried Pitivi (http://www.pitivi.org/) or Kdenlive (http://www.kdenlive.org/) for video editing?

    Hi and welcome to the forums,

    kdenlive, as mentioned above, is good for video editing. If you don't want anything too complicated, then OpenShot is ok. For photo editing, it has to be the GIMP.

    What do you mean by remote access, exactly? Remote desktop services?

    I also prefer gimp and use it regularly , but haven't done any video editing with Ubuntu yet. If you use 3rd party applications try and get .deb packages if possible .
