wine with requiem bloodymare and S.U.N ?

ok so essentially im trying to play requiem and s.u.n on my ubuntu system but every time i try to download anything on the system it sends me a error message from the archive manager. i also have wine installed on my comp. any help with how wine works would be great . i am running ubuntu 11.10 thanks

As already mentioned, you need to check the WineHQ site to see the ratings on the games you want to play.

For example, requiem bloodyware is rated GARBAGE -- meaning it's not going to work no matter what you do:

Just right-click on the .exe and choose Wine Windows Program Loader. This will use wine to open the .exe file.
