Fresh 11.10 Install Hangs on Splash Screen

Hi

Just Did a New install of 11.10 and after the reboot for first startup
It boots as far as the splash screen with myhtbuntu and the the
progress dot start to move and then everything locks up hard.
I have a Nvidia card and read that there are some issues with Nvidia and
upgrading but not with a new install. Any help would be great or a way to
find a log file that may help.

press escape at the splash screen and you should see the kernel messages scroll by.
