RB and Maui should merge, wouldn't that be nice!

Would like to see the newer style menu in here .... seeing that it is already partly done .....
Its at the right stage in git - ready for adding the links to applications or so it seems from
the iso we downloaded.
Needs to be a 64 bit system to do it with at the moment
though as maui is a 64 bit build ......
Seems its already been discussed about on here early on - we are late to the party

The good thing with a simple menu system and layout though - less to go wrong - less complicated to alter
too ..... just may be limited on the number of icons across the top there .... unless some form of drop
down is created to suit more icons or text type links ..... interesting though as this is clean and easy
to work with ..... at least RB runs all the programs ....

So I guess the best way to play with Maui since its 64 bit is Manjaro 64 bit ?
I think I installed Manjaro on my amd64, look at it later and see what comes up.

There are lots of dependancies missing on the hawaii build ..... seems either files have been removed or not added yet
some fonts and the polkit-qt5 ....... ( taking time out now - maybe wait till something new appears in the repos )
Yep, wait and see what pops up.
I have three RBOS on this 32b and will not work after update ?
Guess I will have to wait for a new iso.
This is worrying and also the split .... but looking at the git nothing much seems to have taken place
yet ...... https://github.com/soreau?tab=repositories

But surely not insurmountable problems with cairo ...... maybe time will tell ......
But the reports on this do not look inspiring ....

The MIR thing was maybe done for good reason - if the bugs cannot be fixed in cairo
then what options are left.
Usually other options are available .....

Did you see that in U+1, "Anyone got Mir working in raring" ?

The Kde blog looks interesting - will keep an eye open now for more progress being made
did the cairo problem get resolved or has Kde somehow sidestepped it ?
