Ok, no problem I hope it will work on my card eventually, since I can't test it right now.

I put the 3.7.0-3 in and so far its working ok.

I changed the sources.list to raring and used synaptic to just put in the kernel, nothing else, and then put sources back to the original RBLOS.

I don't want to install the iso, not sure if it's possible to upgrade the kernel without installing

Can you install the iso with VirtualBox? Then change or add the new kernel.

I couldn't install in Virtualbox, it says something "error:the grub didn't install.."
No worries, man, I'll just wait when the kernel gets stable and will be included in the live session

    Re: Wayland Live CD

There is a script in the first post @ SourceForge "test_RBOS_ISO.sh" that will let you run the iso in your home dir, I tried it but dont remeber if you can add software, if I still have it in here ill try it.

Im in xwayland now and the mouse acts weird, cant copy paste and it crashed 3 times but it seems to have settled down now..

You can install software onto the live environment. I use unionfs-fuse to do so. It prompts if you want to keep the ISO open, and then prompts if you want to keep the files when the xterm window closes.

I don't think xwayland has a clipboard yet? ...and I'm not sure what the mouse is doing... I haven't had a problem I don't think, except on a laptop where the trackpad speed is far to slow.

The script does the unioning by itself. You don't need to do anything..

    What happens to synaptic?

are you trying to run synaptic off of a weston-terminal, or an xterm? If you run it under a weston-terminal, it has wayland vars, which will make Synaptic use the GTK under Wayland. Some GTK apps don't work correctly under Wayland.

    Try running it under xterm.
