Not much of a difference, unless you are using VirtualBox. The September 1st ISO just has a rebuilt Hawaii to a newer commit that has it fixed for Framebuffer backed Weston, for VirtualBox users

OK thanks, Hawaii looks good in the 8-30, I'm still trying to recover some things if I can remember!

Will update-rbos pull in the newer commit for Hawaii on the 8-30 ?

No. Just the build scripts are in the SVN, along with my utilities and scripts, such as waylandloginmanager. The build scripts when run, clone the repos, and build them.

You can probably get the new Hawaii commit by running
    Code:
    sudo /usr/bin/Compile/shell
but as you are not using FBDEV, this probably isn't affecting you

The 9-1 installed fine but just booted to a tty so I went back to the 8-30, its seems ok.

    Re: Wayland Live CD

I think I found out what the issue is, it's related to Weston's new hardware accelerated screen recording:

    This Weston commit fixed it
    http://cgit.freedesktop.org/wayland/...adc778a9108a5f
however, I decided to give it the packages it needs, so it can enable building the hardware accelerated screen recording into Weston

Again. update-rbos pulls from the unstable SVN, and replaces the scripts installed with . I was doing some loginmanager work.
It's mainly there for my testing, but it was only applicable for use once or twice, but when it was I posted an update to the thread, when I fixed a bug in a launcher file, config file, or runtime (non build script) script, which is when I also released a new ISO IIRC.

Most of the changes are to the buildscripts anyway, which just download the new changes to /usr/bin/Compile/* , or end up depending upon a new build script that I add.
It's not meant to be a real update solution. It does not run the build scripts too. So for instance, I am attempting to add more kde frameworks apps, and mutter, and gnome shell, and I'm working on the build scripts and depends right now. Once I get it to work, I will add appropriate desktop files too in a later commit. If you where to run update-rbos then you will get the new build scripts, and new desktop files, but unless you then know what build scripts to manually run, they will link to things that don't exist, because they haven't been built.

I really appreciate your testing, but unless I say it will actually work, chances are update-rbos will break the system

    Re: Wayland Live CD

OK thank you, I forgot you told me that before.
    I just reinstalled two Sept. 5 1.8 g.
The reduced version did not seem to have an installer listed and when I run ubiquity in a terminal it doesn't start.
Let me know when I should do the update, thanks again for the help.
