Unpredictable and random placement of screenlets

I am using 11.10 on several computers (an Asus Laptop and an HP desktop)

I am faced with a small but annoying problem: screenlets will never appear where I placed them ("locked" + "sticky"). They always appear at random places in the vicinity of where they should be.

It used to happen from time to time, but lately it has worsened to the point that every startup has its surprise placement!

I have locked and unlocked them, made them sticky or not: no difference.

BTW I am using only Clearweather, Calendar and Worldclock. Nothing too fancy, one could say!
