How do I get a Ubuntu One email address?

Ubuntu One is an all-in-one cloud for data/contacts/emails etc right?

Or am I misunderstanding what Ubuntu One is?

As far as I know, Ubuntu One is not a free email servie. Here you can read about it: https://one.ubuntu.com/services/

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm so confused as to why it they wouldn't host email as well. I mean they are doing contacts but not email?

It is for data storage, it is NOT an application server.

Oh I thought it had something to do with syncing contacts as well. My mistake.

Ubuntu One give you 5g of storage space, free of charge. It´s your own cloud.

Yes, it can sync your contacts along with many other files. But it is not a e-mail server. It only stores data.

Think of it as a can of soup. The soup is DATA. The can opener is the APPLICATION. Ubuntu One has no can openers.

Aye, which is a shame. It would be sweet if Ubuntu really offered an alternative to Google options.
