    Thanks flar, gnome and ubuntu seem to be on a mission to remove functionallity and configurability when it conflicts with their interface ideas, they've changed from the free software ethos of 'extend and configure' to 'cut and restrict'.

    The plus side is it creates developers out of users.

    OOOOPS!

    Ended up loosing F4 and F7 functions
    That would be clutterflow and terminal

    guess I need to reinstall

    You lost those functions after the patch? I've never used F4 and F7 -- what do they do exactly? They don't seem to do anything on my installation even without the patch.

    I had nautilus elementary installed.
    F4 would enable clutterflow and F7 would enable a terminal within nautilus

    This patch works fine with Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric too. Just checked.
