Question How can i make a screenshot of my login screen?

I tried to just hit "print screen" when on the login but no luck...then i tried to make it with a command in tty1:
    Code:
    ping host -C 15
    and then type
    Code:
    gnome-screenshot
to set a timer to make a screenshot of things i usually cant do with hitting print screen (like the dash for example)...but no luck. So how CAN i make a screenshot? could not find much on google...

    Hello,

I have no idea, but if this is troubling you a lot, I thing that a photo from your mobile phone would do the trick. You can modify the photo afterwards using gimp.

    Regards!

It was possible in 11.04 and there are instructions available . I find no instructions for 11.10 and would not proceed without instructions for the current version . I fear it would all end in tears .

Re: How can i make a screenshot of my login screen?

alright...guess i can't do it the direct way, i will do it the indirect way...so i will make a backup of my current install with remastersys and install that onto a Virtual Box to boot it up and make a screenshot of the login screen....

or does anyone else know a way how i can make a screenshot of the login screen?
