With my ipad 2 connected to iTunes on mac or windows, I can browse the files associated with particular apps (e.g. the pdfs and audio files used/created in UnrealBook).

On Ubuntu, I cannot find a way to do this. I have libimobiledevice2 installed, and I can browse:
  • the ipad music library in rhythmbox
  • the ipad's photo library in shotwell
  • various directories in nautilus

... but I can't find the files saved by 3rd party apps anywhere at all. Since iTunes can see those files, I know the device knows how to communicate them. Is there a way to access that in Ubuntu?

(I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 on a thinkpad x61, and iOS 5.0.1 on the ipad)
