Android files visualization (mass storage device)

on ubuntu 11.10
android 4.0.4 (galaxy S3)

connecting via usb cable noting happen
MTP connection turned ON
debug mode USB develop setting turned ON

first time connected ubuntu say eject or banshee
then nothing more

any suggestion?
very frustrating....

on ubuntu 11.10 64bit
Upgrade to kernel 3.0... and installed mtplib 0.9.3 compiled handwork
