    HostAPD in Ubuntu

Hey, I have been trying to set up an access point on my laptop for a couple of weeks with no avail, I am currently trying to use hostapd, and my network does appear on the list of wireless networks however when I try to join it, the client attempting to join just hangs and the laptop AP hangs here,

    Code:
Using interface wlan0 with hwaddr 00:1e:4c:xx:xx:xx and ssid 'testap'
    wlan0: STA b8:c7:xx:xx:xx:85 IEEE 802.11: authenticated
    wlan0: STA b8:c7:xx:xx:xx:85 IEEE 802.11: associated (aid 1)
wlan0: STA b8:c7:xx:xx:xx:85 RADIUS: starting accounting session 4EF1FDF0-00
Here is my ifconfig for wlan0

    Code:
    wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1e:4c:xx:xx:xx
        inet addr:192.168.1.12 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
        inet6 addr: xxxx::21e:4cff:fe07:bf87/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS RUNNING PROMISC ALLMULTI MTU:1500 Metric:1
        RX packets:25361 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
        TX packets:16977 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
        collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
        RX bytes:30312236 (30.3 MB) TX bytes:2285282 (2.2 MB)
    and for mon.wlan0

    Code:
    mon.wlan0 Link encap:UNSPEC HWaddr 00-1E-4C-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
        RX packets:33 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
        TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
        collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
        RX bytes:4521 (4.5 KB) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
I followed this tutorial to try and get it running,
