I just installed Ubuntu 10.11 in dual boot with my Windows 7. I have a HP dm4 notebook that has two GPUs, one from ATI and another from Intel.
I do not play games in my note, so I rarely use the ATI GPU since it destroys my battery life.
Using Windows it is very easy to change from one to another, but under Ubuntu I do not know how to do it. And the default GPU is the ATI one.
The note get very very hot using Ubuntu and the ATI GPU, and the battery life goes from 3h30 to maby 1h20, so, not good at all.
How can I disable my ATI GPU on Ubuntu and use only the Intel one?
I'm going to put below the specifications for my laptop.
Thanks for the help!
