    Skype Sound Problems

My Skype video works and I can hear the other person, but they cannot hear me. I have Ubuntu 11.10 32 bit on a Gateway netbook.

    Thank you for your help!

    Re: Skype Sound Problems

I had a similar problem with my wife's Acer Aspire laptop. The solution was to install PulseAudio Volume Control, and control the microphone as separate channels rather than one stereo channel. I've written up the problem here.

Although that's written for an older version of Ubuntu, the same problem has continued with each subsequent upgrade, so I know it's still current.

Hope it fixes your problem too

When I went to sound control, it didn't have the PulseAudio Volume Control option...

Have a look at the link I provided, it will tell you how to install PulseAudio Volume Control, and how to unlink the microphone channels.
