Xubuntu 12.04 LTS

Will Xubuntu also move their 12.04 release to 5 year LTS or will it remain 3 year?

read the thread, but still confused... Xubuntu will be at least a 3 year LTS, but im asking if it will also move to 5-year LTS like regular Ubuntu.

I was just pointing you to another thread where this is being discussed. There is this: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/xu...er/008082.html. Looks like the initial proposal is for 3yr LTS and they are accepting comments/suggestions.

awww.. that sucks. Was hoping for a 5 year, hope they change their mind, though I'm sure the reason they are doing it is because the Xubuntu team is probably overstretched and keeping an LTS going that long would take away from new releases. Still, hope they change it.
