Question Opening Samsung Galaxy S2 as a Storage Device

    Hello !

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and it used to open as a storage device (so I can upload files to the device) fine, but now for some reason on all desktops (XFCE,KDE,GDM...) and file managers it opens up as "gphoto2://[usb:002,008]/" and says "Those files on digital audio player" and suggests to use a media player for them.
When I open each folder on the device they are all empty.

How can I again open Samsung Galaxy S2 as a storage device ?

    Hi Maxim:

I have a Galaxy S so I'm shooting in the dark here, but here goes:

    1. Return "home" / press "home" button (bottom middle)
    2. Press "menu" (bottom left) and select settings.
    3. Select "Wireless and network"
    4. Select "USB settings"
    5. Select "Mass storage"

I had the same issue with my Galaxy S2, and selecting USB storage fixed it fine. I can get at almost anything on the phone quite easily.

Thanks, I've looked into it and they changed the "Wireless and network" options.
Now I need to manually enable it each time I connect the mobile to the PC via the options.
    How annoying.
