Is there somewhere where the rather cryptic explanations of the startup programs in ocelot are explained, so that I can get rid of the ones that I don't need?

If you go to Startup Applications, it is pretty self explanatory which ones you may or may not need.
Well, I have no idea what "onboard" is, nor "files". Neither does Ubuntu apparently, as it says "no description".
"Volume control" appears twice.
I do not understand what "user folders update" is supposed to be for.
Ditto "gsettings data conversion".
I have "update notifier" and "check for new hardware drivers", surely CFNHDs is part of what UN does?
I would rather not reboot my system a couple dozen times and check for what might break each time and log everything just to find out what TSRs are useless. Ocelot already tried to install bluetooth when I don't have the hardware and to make into a "micro blogger", so I'm sure there's some more fat to cut here, I would just like a reasonably dumbed down explanation as to what.
