    Installing Lubuntu on Xubuntu

Hi all, I'm pretty new to Ubuntu. I recently install Xubuntu on my old Desktop just for web serving and checking email. Xubuntu runs fine but this desktop only has 512 rams, yes its pretty old lol. But now I want to give Lubuntu a try because it uses less rams so I was wondering if there was a way to install Lubuntu while on Xubuntu using the software Center or using terminal? I appreciate the help.

You just need to install the "lubuntu-desktop" package and its dependencies.

Then log out and change the "session" to LXDE.

Lubuntu works well on my laptop but turned out to be quite unstable on my Desktop computer. If you experience problems with it, especially with pcmanfm, you can try the Debian implementation of XFCE, which seems to be faster and lighter than the Ubuntu one, and LXDE, which has an older version of pcmanfm, less rich in features but definitely working.
