I'll post a workaround some user shared with me after a MP I sent to him.

It is not a solution, but works perfectly, the idea is to install a previous kernel in which wireless works flawlessly.

See post #6 and then follow the instructions to the other post.

edit: not sure if to mark this thread as solved, since it is not a nice solution, on the other hand, marking it would be useful for others googling for a solution to the same issue.

    Hmmm... the link doesn't work.

So, it'a a kernel regression. Probably there is an open launchpad bug- so I suggest to linke here the launchpad bug, the thread with the workaround, and marking the thread "solved".

Main bug seems to be this one:

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...er/+bug/836250

it's marked "High" importance, so I hope it will be solved rapidly. Downgrading the kernel is a workaround, but I've seen worst workarounds before

    run this in your terminal:
    rmmod iwlwifi modprobe iwlwifi bt_coex_active=0

it should fix any issue you have

Good to know you have found a solution. I have had the same problem today, and have spend several hours figuring it out.

Like you my network manager recognized all the wireless modems (including my own one), but was unable to connect. Even though I was sure I had entered the right password. The network manager kept asking for the password, and failed to connect.

Turns out I had to enable my wireless adapter in my windows 7 dual boot. I have this wireless adapter that can be enabled/disabled by pressing fn-F3.

That fixed the problem for me.

Hope this saves other people some time.
