Although I don't believe Matt's ever personally helped me, I've noticed many of his posts around, especially in the Absolute Beginner's forum posting on some of the same threads as me, and have been continually impressed not only with his knowledge but also his clear and mature posting style. He has a +1 from me.
From what I can see, his posts look helpful. Definitely not all the CoCG nonsense mods had to troll through for me ().
+1.
Thanks for the thoughtful comments, I appreciate it.
Back from holiday now - and back in the saddle again

If this is the Matt Rudge I think it is, I'd like to personally recommend him as a very technically gifted and helpful person all round. Top bloke!

Hi Stefan,
Yes...this Matt Rudge is one and the same greetings to Kim have been duly passed on and reciprocated.
Thanks for the endorsement, I have to say I'm impressed and slightly awed! Your name has often come up when I've been talking to other Ubuntu-heads, but I didn't know you were active on the forums here.
Thanks again. Hope you're well, please send a PM if you get chance and let us know how you're doing
