    Partitions

    Hello,
    I have a saved copy of my OSX snow leopard disk on a hard drive, How would I create a partition in ubuntu,and copy the file to the partion so that i could boot from the .dmg and install OSX?
    Im using a macbook 3,1

    Hi,
    I may well be wrong, but I don't think that you're going to be able to boot from that .dmg image. If you have the original OSX disk, you should be able to install using that. The question of how to partition on a mac, I'll have to leave to someone else. I know it can be done, but I've never done it..

    Okay thanks, i heard about putting it as first boot order , but im not sure how to do that exactly.
