Desura is fantastic. I just picked up Trine 1 and 2 on the platform. Great games.

It's nice to see Linux gaming finally get a little love with this and the upcomming Steam client.

I really wish the developers at Desura would add more social features on the site and client.

    Re: Desura Game Distribution Platform

I have only 1 game on Desura and all on Steam, so I hope that Steam will provide more support on Linux!

Some great old games have recently landed on Desura, including Earthworm Jim 1 and 2, Descent 1 and 2, and Freespace: The Great War.

I use Desura on my Windows PC for stuff like mods. Are all the games available on linux that are on windows or just a few, wouldn't mind trying stuff like Black Mesa on my Ubuntu.

I still get a lot of crashes when downloading and installing games. Ugh.

I do on occasion (ocassion? occassion? help? I hate English) as well with the actual client crashing even on startup, but it's like 1 time out of every 10, and the games themselves have never crashed after being installed. But I've noticed that if you download/install games one at a time, it's far less likely to crash.

Is this the official client or Desurium?
