    Question Ubuntu Build

So I found parts to build an Ubuntu PC, total of $366. I have a MAC OSX. Any ideas, do I need this? I love computers. Feed back I guess. A pretty broad question.

    "Ihave a MacOSX"-Huh?

I suggest you post the hardware you have (in bits!), then we can make some recommendations about what will and won't work.

You're not really making sense, mac osX is an operating system (like ubuntu) that you would put on a computer. As previous poster mentioned if you want us to know how well ubuntu will work you will need to post your computer specs.

You can install a Linux distribution on your Apple branded hardware, if you aren't happy with your current operating system.

If you are building a separate computer to install a Linux distribution on, I'd suggest you use an Nvidia graphics card, as they have better support than those using AMD/ATI chipsets.

Agreed. They are getting better though.

Be careful, as you might be accused of spreading FUD like I was.

Caution: If your system isn't based on Apple hardware, we might not want to know due to EULA restrictions.
