    Windows share mounting (command line?)

    Hi,

I am trying to connect to a window share. When I go to PLACES>CONNECT TO A SERVER and give the following details (with a password later) I see the files in the folder

    Connect to Server
    Service type: WINDOWS SHARE
    SERVER : //serv1.mycompany.com
    Share : top_level_dir
    folder: users_dir/user_name
    User Name: user_name
    Domain Name: mycompany

Question is: How do I mount this folder to /mnt/myshare using command line. I would like to do this at the startup.

    Thanks.

    Hi ufuser01,

If you drag and drop the mounted folder (in the file browser Nautilus) to the panel on its left side, it will stay there also after rebooting. So you can click on it and enter password to get easy access to your shared folder. Quick and easy!

Have fun finding out about Ubuntu
