Steam & Wine makes my window bounce?

    Hello all

    I'm on ubuntu 11.10

    I've just installed wine, flawlessly.
    I then installed steam, flawlessly.

I run steam and it opens just dandy. Hurray! However, I click the steam window and the side bar retracts (or hides) and this makes my steam window bounce. Then when I click the steam window, the side bar comes out again and the steam window bounces again. I'm then unable to get my cursor near the steam window because it keeps jumping away if my cursor touches the top of the window. This continues until the window is off screen where I cannot click it. Until this point everything was absolutely fine.

    Anything known on this one? I don't know if it's a wine/ubuntu desktop/steam issue o.o

Free cake to he who fixes this.

You can try to emulate desktop (winecfg - emulate desktop)

    Hello there

That seems a little better. When I emulate the desktop is only jumps slightly and I'm able to grab the window and use it. I downloaded and installed a game (Day of Defeat - figured I'd go for the older games first) and it installs and launches fine. However, I am unable to move on the game. I can only fire and turn on the spot. It's as though it does not detect my keyboard in game.
