    iPod issues.

I just started using ubuntu, fyi. Was using windows before this only a couple of months ago.

I have the libimobiledevice2 and utils in, and it seems to mount to Rhythmbox just fine, but when I go to sync the library, this happens:

    'Error Transferring Track'
'Error opening file yada yada yada: Read-only file system'

What am I forgetting to do? I thought going to properties on the music files would be good enough, but it doesn't seem to move from a '--' to 'read and write' option.

And any other info I need to provide?

The only way I could use my ipod was with GTKPod

gtkpod is a platform independent GUI for Apple's iPod using GTK3.
It allows you to upload songs and playlists to your iPod. It supports ID3
tag editing, multiple charsets for ID3 tags, detects duplicate songs,
allows offline modification of the database with later synchronisation,
    and more.

it is available in the Software Centre or Synaptic.

I now use an Android device.

I haven't the slightest clue how to get GTKPOD to work without freezing up on me every time. When I go to delete songs off the ipod, or it's adding songs, I just get an error about not being able to remove a song or add a song.

Alright, now I'm frustrated. Some new problem keeps arising. I just tried to reformat the 3rd gen Ipod Nano 8b black. Cleared all the data Rhythmbox now wil sync. Sort of. I go to eject, no music on the ipod. And some of the mp3's didn't get copied over to the ipod. 'Error Transferring Track', 'Resource record not found' ( i think thats what the second part of the error was)
