Can't ping Web IP address

Hello, I was able to ssh to my server with static ip address. However I don't know what happened that know I can't even ping the server. At the same time, when I remote through VNC to the its connected to the internet and can ping external IP's.

How should I do to make the server reachable from outside?

How is your server connected? If there's a router, did you forward all the appropriate ports? Were you SSHing within your local network, or through the Internet?

I think you left out some words in this: "when I remote through VNC to the its connected to the internet and can ping external IP's."
