Ibus/Anthy in Flash on Ubuntu 11.10

I recently upgraded to 11.10, and after installing Ibus and Anthy for Japanese character entry, I found everything seems to work, except for entering characters in Flash text entry forms. I've been testing against www.sharedtalk.com since that was one in particular I remember working in 11.04.

It seems like IBus isn't recognizing the text entry fields in the Flash applets since the notifier on the top bar remains as "Input method Off."

Is there anything additional that needs to be installed for IBus to work in Flash applets, or any other debugging info I can gather? I am using Ubuntu 11.10 x64 and primarily Chromium browser (though I have the same issue in Firefox).

Every time I post it almost guarantees I find a solution immediately after.

I installed Flashaid in Firefox and let it execute with default settings. So far as I know, I can use Ibus alternate entry methods in Flash forms now with no side effects.
