Power Failure half way through install:

I hope this is no too off topic but I was doing an install of Oneiric 64(bit) <to be converted to Precise> and the power went off half way through the install. Unfortunately I did not have my battery pack in that laptop.

I decided to use a tool in the installer that had to resize a partition which is dev/sda2/ext4 (that is where the new copy is being installed to) and all was going well until power outage at my building.

What is the quickest way (if any) to pick up from where the install left off? if not, and I have to do a fresh install from Oneiric CD then how do I install it to the previously partitioned drive dev/sda2/ext4 ??

    thanks in advance..

Use the manual partition option (Something else) to install to your previously created partition, you have to start fresh, as I can't see any way of rescuing your aborted install.

I totally borked my partitions , but, all is not lost. All of my installs are intact including 64bit Ubuntu.

64bit is much faster graphically and very responsive.

Only thing is , is that the type set_cursor is very slow.

    Is this a cursor bug?

    hmmm.. i'll check it out.
