In my eyes Fedora offers you easy access to the latest and greatest in FLOSS community. The distro is extremely FAIF although not as much as Debian. Great support for other DE's and Gnome Shell as default if that is your cup of tea. A good focus on security with support for full disk encryption out of the box. I also appreciate that Fedora doesn't try to market services like Ubuntu One to me. Those are some of the advantages that I see.

I don't have to wait for releases on Arch (but they managed to push 50 MB of updates in two hours).

But it does mean we can't get the news headlines with a new release

I thought the main points were how awesome the wiki is and that it is KISS. Oh and the plethora of tiling window managers.

Maybe you should try it again. Fedora has been rock solid for years. Ubuntu does add some nice things for beginners like the driver installer, but the Fedora base is much more stable and consistent IMHO.

By the way, Fedora releases normally come out at 10:00 EST - about half an hour from now. I normally upgrade early, but I have been so busy that I am doing it this morning when it's released.
