    "Web Browser" and Firefox?

As I look at the installed software packages on xubuntu 11.10, I notice that there is an installed package entitled "Web Browser" and an installed Firefox package. Do I need both? Is one package a supplement to the other? Whenever I click the Web Browser icon on the panel, Firefox comes up; so I'm not really having a problem with what I want to do. I simply want to know what "Web Browser" is and what it's doing. Thanks.

"Web Browser" launches your preferred Web Browser (which you can select in the Preferred Applications settings). It's not a separate package.
