It's something I've been building for awhile. So far have made 120 game icons (512x512pix). All native linux games. I'm going to use them at work. We have 10 Ubuntu machines for the kids.

Yay, now the icons look better than the games themselves.

I actually like the fact that I can do it on Oneric's Unity when I can't on Natty's Unity. I like how it looks. It makes my netbook look sharp
    Alright sweet! thanks man.
Yeah I have my menus transparent via Tweak,
and my top panel/unity also through ccsm,
but the metacity / titlebars thing I am missing.
Good call! Will see what I can do.
    .... or break.

    thanks buddy!

Dang! Games rarely ever interest me,
but that is soo nice looking I kinda want to try some of those games! haha
Like, "My Tribe" and "the polynomial". "roll em up" looks kinda interesting to... lol

    Where you get them?
    Software center? Elsewhere?
and do you have to pay for them? heh
oh yeah, and how are they? As Cool as the covers make them look? Lol!

    Nice work man.

    Re: Nifty November Screenshots

    Thanks

Most of the game listed in the screenshot is indie games, so you have to pay a dollar or two.
You can find a lot of indie games on Desura: http://www.desura.com/
But mostly I find indie games from other forum members (you can always find me in our Gaming setion LOL), or by google search.
There's actually quite a lot indie developers that support Linux.

My Tribe, it doesn't exist to Linux anymore after 'Big Fish' took over 'grubby games', sadly. Though I still have the Linux binary of the game.

The Polynominal you can find on Desura for 3.49 euros, there's also a demo of it on Desura.
    Roll'em Up is free: ftp://ftp.tw.freebsd.org/pub/ports/d...ollemup.tar.gz
It may need that you install stdc++.so.2.8.0, then
    export LD_PRELOAD=./libstdc++.so.2.8.0 ./Rollemup

    No problem, and Thanks!
    Very cool.

I just checked out the polynomial on youtube, and wow, that looks sweet!
Might have to get that one.
I have gotten a few games so far since using Ubuntu.
The only ones I ever open are Crayon Physics deluxe and Osmos.
I got Braid to but can;t get it to work.... still. Really want to play it though. lol

Thanks for the info and links, I appreciate it.
