Have fun. For future reference, making a USB isn't difficult. Install unetbootin:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install unetbootin
launch the GUI, select an iso/usb stick, wait, done.

    Hey MG&TL,

thx for the tip, but... well... let's say you're trying to explain integers to a 2nd-grader... LOL

Or, use the menu to find synaptic package manager, click on it, put in your password if it asks, and under search put: unetbootin
Do that for other software you want to download. Just click on it inside synaptic, hit apply, then have it install it.

    Re: Lubuntu One Stop Group

Oh, and... activity log: CD burning aborted - my recording device broke. Back to the drawing desk

By the way, silly question: What's the meaning of these bloody beans on the left, and how do I get them? Only after my 50th post, as well as profile editing? I'm just as far as the 5th or 6th...

(OK, I admit it: haven't read the user's manual to this whole stuff) *frown

Sign me up as a Lubuntu One Stop Group member.
I should contribute back to the community because of all the stupid questions I've asked.

I have also signed in to facebook and requested membership

Beans are posts, but they only count in the support forums, i.e. not this one. At 50 beans, you can edit your profile. As you progress through the bean count, you get different messages at the top. Some people hide their bean-count for their own reasons.

    Re: wifi

If it hadn't already, it had to become an issue sooner or later: I cannot get my wifi working. I used Ndiswrapper, which installed the .inf driver from the install disk for my Linksys Wireless-G notebook adapter, but, so far, it doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Here's a smiley
